get a bmc one for the sheer fact that F1 cars use it.
I would get it straight through RPI.

I dont really want the scoop now. I was going to do some engine mods but i have a little slow 530. Why drop so much money into it to make it a little faster. Just want the k&n because i can wash and reuse it forever.

other than name, some people like the BMC and claims that it has a greater surface area of filter and less rubber lining around it compared to the K&N. both are great filters though, I have the K&N in on my 06 530 myself.
