new spyshots of F01 7-series in white and silver

First thing that pops out is the big kidney grills. The silver one has dual square-oval tips.

I'm not feeling the heart pounding on this design yet...like I wish I was.

..........................Hmmmmmmmm , definitely more conservative than I was hoping for, they have moved away from the body flaming , almost looks retro from the side ,the front is at least promising . Remembering the launch of the new X5 , they did a great job of downplaying the critical design elements with the body masking ..............I hope this is the case again !

You can definitely tell the swirled vinyl is covering some key design elements, especially on the upper rear quarter panels and trunk.

I agree with Heloha & westcoast550 - not much to make the heart fliter here. It will certainly a more balanced, better flowing, elegant design than the E65. It's just that I think we were all hoping to see a lot more of the CS influence here ... and then its trickle-down to the F10.

Lately, however, what has made BMW so interesting is what's underneath the body. And that should be the case here ... I hope.
twin-turbo V-8
8 Speed transmission
tranny shifter back on the console instead of the steering column
center column returns to a more driver-oriented angle
next generation iDrive
360 degree camera views
4 wheel steering
xdrive

In the end, what matters most is how much of an ultimate driving machine it is. Everything else BMW has done recently has been solidly in that direction. I expect the new 7 series to do just that.

Not long now ... I've read that July 7th (07/07 ... get it?) is the projected official press release date.
