my uncle has a 2003 745 and i gave him my 2006 OEM navigation disc but the disc wont work, can he do something to make it work??? or he need to change the whole navi system to be able to use the newer navi discs, thanks in advance :D

2006 OEM Nav disc you had was for what kind of unit? what car did it come out of?

Go to the Navteq wesite --- yes, there are different NAV systems that require different Navteq map products. An early 2003 745 may use the CD-based maps. http://www.navigation.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP...oWyZpE5hAxvdvm2?

I conquer....I believe he would have the CD-ROM driven Nav that has about 9 CD's or so. He MAY have DVD capabilities as I think they switched over in 04 or 05...but in any case dont think your DVD will work for him.

its says DVD on the navi player located in the trunk heres some pics,, makes me wonder now why cant it play the 06 navi :think:

Yes but that disc looks to me like a CD. Looks like it's CD 1 of like 9 or more (dont remember) perhaps it does play DVD hardware-wise, don't see why not since it says so. But there are different types of Nav's. Like you cannot put a Pioneer navi DVD in an Alpine.
