Got to drive an Alpina B7 and the BMW 760 iL at this year's Komen Drive For The Cure. Both had great power. The Alpina was a little more edgy than the 760, but they were very similar. It's amazing the power our 4.4L engines make with the supercharger!

+1 I believe DRANGED's speculation is right on the mark. Removing the BMW roundel and replacing it with an ALPINA constitutes a different act than simply adding the ALPINA badge on the left of the trunk lid.
