I must say i was really disappointed when i first saw the F-01...but as the days are passing by, im starting to actually like it...i was just messing around with the visualizer on the german website, and i thought it looked great in AW...i would buy it over the S class anyday....check it out!....

Gene 08-29-2008 06:41 PM

those tail lights and side markers are going to take some getting used to..no matter what color...

jcool10181 08-29-2008 08:31 PM

hmm... those tails look like the toyota avalon and the tail pipes look like the one from an acura TL. sorry i'm not feeling it.

westcoast550 08-30-2008 05:08 AM

Looks good , but a sport version with chrome delete and a sexier front and rear bumper treatment would fix it for me ......

BigMike 08-30-2008 05:42 AM

Really not feeling this....

DINAN530i 08-30-2008 05:47 AM

so this is it?? :nono:

mrfva 08-30-2008 05:49 AM

Rear bumper, lights and exhaust reminds me of the Lexus LS460

Front kidney grills look too big, overwhelming the headlights. Front bumper lacks definition at the bottom lip, looks too light and lacking something... Side-markers are way too obvious on the car. But hey, I'm a late adopter  -- for now, I like the current 7er.

The car must be seen live, with your own eyes.

Those who have seen it, say that it looks way better than in the pics.

I have a "thing" with the big grill, but otherwise it looks great.

alpinewhite 08-30-2008 08:41 AM

llooks like I'll be keeping my car until BMW fixes this!

JETBLACK530I 08-30-2008 08:44 AM

I can't wait for the Alpina Version to come out. Hopefully they change the body kit to look better.

The car looks better in the pictures you posted. I could care less about the color :P but the lines appear more fluid ... do you have any front and read pics of the car?

530ISPORT 08-30-2008 01:33 PM

nice alpine white is the best

Agree 100%

The other cars in the segment look so much better.

TexaZ3 08-30-2008 03:08 PM

This market segment is very competitive, and I would pick two or three different cars before I even look at new 7er, no matter what color. It is just too japanese for $85K+ car.

Those profile shots look great. Can't wait to see it in person. Thanks for posting Ric!

+1 this new 7 series (i assume this is the final product) looks like it was designed in a way that all the designers had diarrhea

KCHNG 09-07-2008 04:07 AM

the car looks great imo

jasonrhcastle 09-08-2008 03:54 AM

I used to see the same thing. The more I look at it, the more I like it. I may replace my M5 in 2010 with this for 2 years until the new M5's are out. It really depends on what you can do with the TTV8 and what the sport pack looks like on these things.

Also, it will depend on whether or not you can get an anthracite or alcantara (black) headliner with a full leather interior. I know that seems petty, but after having it in my M5 I will never get another one without it.

SO this is the new 7? I saw this on the Palisades Parkway North in New York. It had Dealer manufacturer plates and I was going nuts. I tried to take some pics with my iphone while driving but it didnt work out very well :D . I love it though.

+1. On my 2nd AW BMW and wouldnt go any other way.

seoulman 09-10-2008 12:33 PM

I'm hoping that it does look better 'in person'. The pictures just don't do it for me. Not feelin' it... Looks similar to the LS460~

Could this be BMW's "Relentless Pursuit of Perfection"?

pinguhk 09-17-2008 06:49 AM

I have to see the real thing before I say any thing
