I'm just curious, my dealer is offering great deals on these and I'm tempted to give it a try.

745d, silver, mega full options, MY 2007, 20.000 Km, half price, warranty.

What do you think? Would you do it or not and why?

754dA, that is a verry nice car, try it :D

I think the comfort is much better than a 5 serie, but a 5 serie is much sportive to see.

Both great cars, I drive my in-laws 750Li all the time, and it feels as though it can't get out of it's own way! It's just as it seems at first glance, the 5 series is more sporting and the 7 series is more luxurious.

All new 7 is coming really soon.

I would definitely hold off.

I had an e32 and e38 Sevens ... They were fast, comfortable road cars - and decent handing for their size and weight. My e60 w/Sport is a very different ride. I do miss the V-8 torque and the newest 7's are more reliable. If you've never had one it's an experience you should try.

+1 for the size, definitely bigger and wider...it comes down to what you want. Didn't enjoy driving my friends 745 for 3 days due to the size difference. GL with your choice tho

The current 7 will be old news shortly and you'll be driving something that you wished you hadn't bought. If you've got the new car Jones get an M3 , fully up to date and very, very fast .......also available in a 4 door for us practical types :D , of course IMHO !!!

well his catch on buying the e65 is probably the HALF price off, which is always a great reason to buy a car when you get a really good deal. Models will change all the time...but the Grin you will get while driving and still have money for lunch is priceless ! lol

I think the thinkg you have to ask is would you buy it if it wasn't half-price.

By that I mean are you only tempted because there's lots of money off? And what's the reason for the depreciation - and how far will it go?

Personally, I love big luxurious cars, but my wife doesn't think we need anything that big. Plus, I prefer the looks of the Touring and there's not a 7 Touring.
