What is it with BMW and 7 series rear ends? It seems as of late they've been coming out with some pretty eccentric rear ends (2002 7 series) then changing them very quickly. But, our e60s have remained true to its original design!! IMO the 3 series and 5 series are the two best lines of cars made by BMW.

All the tech in the world, doesn't change the fact it got beat to hell with the ugly stick.

What Ebay seller are they getting the chrome sidemarker and chrome trunk piece from?

As cool as it is, unlike some of you guys, I can't see myself in a 7...

I do like it and have tremendous respect for it but I'm more excited because I think that most of the cool technology will filter down to the F10 (as well as other models) in the near future!

I wish it were a bit more daring and not as "toned down" as it looks compared to the E65. Yes, I know that this is supposed to be the "evolution" part of the normal BMW "revolution-evolution" model cycle, but I wish the evolution from the E65 would have stayed as daring and modern looking as the E65 is instead of toning it down and resembling the LS. HAVING SAID THAT, I still think it looks good and certainly better than all it's competition.

I'm quite amused when the official pictures of the next BMW model is released and all the people start bashing it and saying how bad it looks and how good the older model or the competition looks compared to the new one...........yet the very same people given a few months to a year or two start liking it and even buying one of the new "ugly" models. It reminds me of the nay sayers and bashers from Roadfly when the E60 came out (many of whom were "disappointed" E39 owners). This thread isn't that bad, but the other thread about the F01 has many posters that hate the new 7.............it's not as bad as the E60 bashing was on Roadfly (I don't think anything can reach that level) , but it's still fun to read

i know that bmw is 'boring it down' some to allow upcoming refreshes, however this cycle is getting tired. the side view looks updated and new. that's about it.
the front and rear look somewhat outdated already. i know many don't like the current rear styling, but the new model seems to be going back which makes it outdated (no matter which styling you like).
