I guess the built one and really cut into half, so for BMW I guess it does not matter.

yup, me too, the first one i remember ever seeing this way was at the NY auto show in the eary '80s when they had introduced the 959 and had one cut in half there to show the guts...thats still my favorite car

Agreed--even today, the 959 holds its own. I saw a 959 and a McLaren F1 in the same room a while back at a local car club, and Mercedes 300SL , and on and on.
