lol, there is also a SIB for the e60/e63s with the harsh 1-2 downshift/accelerate problem.

Is this for the SMG or AT? I have something similar in my SMG. When I let it coast to a stop and downshift to 1st the car slows down then it almost releases and jumps forward. It's kind of annoying.

I guess that shoul've have been in the first post LOL.. it is AT
I have an AT and I'm also having this problem:
"When come to a stop, slight jerking movement, or upon acceleration, same jerky movement. However it cannot ALWAYS be produced, happens time to time."

Had the car for about 4 months now and it has only happened 2-3 times I think.

Also had a problem where the car would accel and decel really quick three times in a row. I pulled up in a parking lot and was going pretty slow. I gently press the gas pedal and car would rev really quick then stop then do it again 3-4 times. I was in sport mode. This only happened once.

I think I'll wait a bit. Doesn't happen very often. Good luck at your appointment, let me know how it goes.

Hey dude! My brother had the same problem with his 545. The dealer quoted him ?5000 for a new transmission. But we believed it could be fixed with a software update, so we took it to another dealer who done the update for ?250. Since the update its all fine now.

Can't believe the dealer was gona charge me ?5000, they wouldn't even try doing the update for me.

Hope this helps!

Update so BMW called, there is nothing wrong with the transmission. Apparently the battery is done and some eletrical wire from the terminal, and their looking at about $1377.60 to fix the problem!

How much does a good heavy duty battery cost of these cars? I am going to change it myself grr
