Alright guys, this is the 2nd time i've had my car towed, and both due to a blown tire. I'm running 295/25/21 in the rears and i know most of yah are conservatives and think they're to thin, but I didnt think i was gonna have the same problem twice. Both tires busted at the inner bead or close to it, WHY???? over inflated? or is it rubbing something inside? had no nails, hit no potholes.. I'm looking to get some 285/30 now, anyone know what brand i should look into, or know of anyone that is selling?

top picture is the recent tire, bottom side was the first. Toyo covered the first one under manufacture warranty.. hope they do the same for the 2nd one.

I ran falkens for almost 2 years, never any issues. I know a BUNCH of people running falkens and no problems...

vulcantires.com great price on falkens 452s

I also run 295/25/21 Falken 452s without any problems.

What kinda wheels do you have and what's the off-set on them? I suppose the Toyos are non-RFT!?

Well, i took the tire back and they called Toyo and said they'll cover 50% of the new tire. which isnt bad, knowing these are running at 450-500 a piece. I'm running the toyo pr1, i believe. To be honest, I think i might be rubbing, for both tires to blow. Gotta double check next time around, and i'll call and see if falkens are covered with the credit they gave me. Thanks guys.

Might be rubbing your coilover perch... I know few ppl in the past have had problems with KWs and rims hitting...

Yeah. might be, but when cruising, it doesnt make any noise of rubbing.. How are your falkens 452? do they round off on the sides, compared to the TOYOs? Or do they pretty much fitted?

Falkens aren't that round, that's why I had some rubbing problems while others using the same setup, sizes etc but different tires were good to go!

Clearly looks as though there is something rubbing on the inner area of the sidewall while driving. I bet it it happening when you hit dips in the road and the suspension flexes down and a slight rub occurs. Over time it wears down, down, down........ then BOOM! :(

You might try 285's instead of 295's to avoid this.

it looks like those tires are too narrow for the rim. and if you run the pressure low, the sidewalls probably heat up.

what psi you running in the tires? how wide are the rims?

305's would be sick in the rear...
