What's up everyone?

My battery died on me and after I got it jump started I noticed the steering wheel adjustment did not work anymore. It worked for a split second then just quit.

Any idea on how I can get it to work again?

My warranty is also up by the way.

Hope all is well!!!

JC

No not at all. One more thing, right before it stopped working the steering wheel went up then down a couple of centimeters real fast on its own a couple of time then just kind of locked up in that position.

Im totally stumpted!!

Didnt find much, but if the steering stopped moving up and down, in/out the thing that controls that is the "electronic steering wheel adjustment drive (motor)" which you could replace yourself, but your looking at about $300 which isnt bad. If you have to replace the whole steering wheel column your looking at about $1200 for just the parts.

My advice, have a bmw specialist look at it and go from there.

Gluck man!

Edit, since your in seattle if you cant find anything there, there are a few reputable bmw specialist here in Vancouver that charge resonably.
Nixon, Edelwiess, Henneken are the 3 main ones.
