I have to say that I personally prefer the 6 coupe to the convertible. I put my 5 through my business and the Z4 is a personal toy so the 6 would be a direct replacement for the 5. I'm going to do the tax calculation and that should put me off the whole idea pretty fast I'd think!
I'd need a lot more than ?15k to make the switch I've been on the BMW configurator and a modestly spec'ed 645 comes in around ?59k (no surprise there then with BMW!).

I had originally had the same thought about the price of the 645 vs the new M5 but now that I've driven the 6 I have a whole new perspective. It feels like a very different car to the 5 and I have to say that my wallet is now trembling at the prospect of being raided to buy one of these beasties. What a car! I think the dealer is going to have to pry my cold, dead hands from the steering wheel before I give it back I normally get a 3 series as a loaner as well but the dealer sensed an opportunity for a sale and took it.
Mark,
I have had the Z4 out a fair bit over the last few weekends enjoying the sunshine. Nothing like driving top down to make you feel good.
