Where did you buy them from? What should I expect to pay? Did you buy the M6 window switch (Part #)? Any DIY'ers w/pics? Is it plug & play?

Sorry for the abundance of Q's but I searched the boards and a lot is not answered (or maybe I missed it). Hopefully we can get a lot of feedback for future mod'ers :cool:

I do not have M6 on 6er but M5 on 5er. However it is the same. The best is to get them via your BMW service as they would order the M6 mirrors with the same features you have on your OEM mirrors. Folding, electrochrome, heated etc. plus you need to order mirrors from M6 built at the same time as your car. The job to change them is quite easy as they are plug and play however you need to know how to take away the door panel and to know where are the various cables, as airbag, lights, loudspeakers etc. To buy them, get them painted and install it would cost hardly ? 2000 or if you re in the States abt. $ 2000. However try to trade in the OEM mirrors at 50% of its value and you should be able to close the deal at abt. ? 1000 or $ 1000.
You can buy them on Ebay as well but you risk that something would not work.

It depends from the dealer. Mine accepted the exchange.
