has any one considered,or retrofitted 06+ key/push button start in a 645?

Now that would be cool... but pretty costly... you would need new transmitters, computer updates, hardware etc etc....

ya i had a 335 loaner with c.a. push start.. i like the new key alot .

it's useless since you still have to put the key in the ignition anyways before you can hit the start button? My Benz,all you need to do is hit the start button to start the car while my key's are still in my pocket.

There are cars with a push button and no comfort access and there are cars with both a push button and comfort access...

this car the key never left my pocket,tuch door handle..unlocks...break and push button car starts.great feature!

the door unlocks when you are close including the trunk, car starts without the key being inserted....and then the car locks by itself when you walk away and are away for about 2 mins (u can program that in the I drive) ...to be on the safe side lock it before you leave the car...
I'm not sure I'd be as "comfortable" with the car doing (or supposedly doing) all those things on it's own. I guess I'm just perfectly "comfortable" with the way comfort access works -- BMW engineered a good mix of convenience vs. confidence.
