So on bimmerfest someone was talking that they put the paddleshifters in their 645 by replacing the steering wheel with the M6 one. anyone have experience with this?

My Ride: 2004 645 Ci, Individual Stratusgrey Metallic with individual grey leather Individual Stratos metallic, Shadow line, Black Individual leather, 19'' ellisoid, Panorama sunroof, PDC, Dynamic drive, Adaptive steering, Adaptive headlights, Voice control, Logic 7, Prof sat nav, BT phone, TV, Heated Sport seats, Ski sac, light pakket, CD-changer. Mods (so far): iPod interface, K&N Airfilter.

It has been a while I did that mod, but still like it. Especially in curvy roads, shifting in corners without taking the hands of the wheel is just pleasure

I would also like to know more info about this because I've been thinking about paddal shifters for awhile now.

There's also someone who put those shifters and and SMG shifter in an auto transmission 645ci and made it work! Not sure who it was....someone in the bimmerfest forum

ok guys.. I think this is a pretty cool mod but there is no DIY for the 6. I'll volunteer to tinker on my ride once again to provide a DIY to the community like I did with the iPod interface. I can get the paddle steering wheel from BMW at wholesale price. The idea is that everyone donates a little towards the DIY so I can post it. If we can't get the $ together everything will be refunded respectively. I set up a paypal account @ "paddleshiftproject@hotmail.com" for this purpose.

What does everyone think?
