You're so right ... that driveshaft could have turned into a deadly missile and killed someone

Thanks guys.
Yeah, I'm glad its just the car, not me or my kid.
I spoke with the shop today, they said most of the damage is to the components that are simply bolt-on, so I'm hoping for a quick repair.
There is a slight dent in the floor that needs to be fixed, and tiny scratch on a lower bumper lip, but the rest is just take broken stuff off, put new stuff on.

Got a final estimate today - lots of stuff will be fixed. Crazy!
I'm glad they are really thorough!
This does not include two new front rims - apparently they got slightly bent on the inside.

Well TBH, a lot of it is just Remove and Install (R&I) so its disssembly and assembly. The actual Repair and Replace items are not that much.

Huge bummer! That silver Ford Focus was supposed to sacrifice itself and take that hit for you!! Too bad you can't find that guy!

Hope you get everything fixed like new in a jiffy...

Thanks Rudy, I hope it gets fixed up soon too.
I think shop got a green light from the insurance, so they should start working on it this week.
