My Ride: 05 645ci Steptronic, Sport & Cold Weather Package, Black on Black with Blackwood Interior, PDC, Illuminated BMW Door Sills, Logic 7 Sound....Mods and pics on the way !
Hello Guys...I just picked up a 2005 645ci and i'm in love with it!!! EVERYBODY on the road stares at the 6 when she cruise's by! She has 34K miles on her, sport package, black on black with black wood trim inside, Steptronic tranny, the build date is 10/04. The first thing i would like to do is add the I-Pod adapter. Does anybody have the part number of the adapter handy ? Whats a ball park figure for this install? My car doesn't have the 6 disc changer. I plan on doing a few more mods in a few months (dinan software, filter, quad exhaust, wheel/tire upgrade, angel eye - fog upgrade). I'll post the mandatory pics as soon as some of this NY snow clears up. It's great to be a fellow 6 series owner. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with me.

before buying the bmw ipod, take a look at the harmon garmon i pod system. its not as clean as the oem but cost only 100 on saleattached the pic of the display, theres also a joy stick type controller for operating the ipod. so far it works great. has either a aux input or fm trens.

Congrats and welcome. Please do post a pic or 2 even if the snow (if you drive it in the snow that is) as we never tire of seeing these cars in all poses.
One place to search for info is the DIY section for "Ipod". That should have the aftermarket bulletin there with part numbers. You'll also need to ensure you can play MP3s in your dash CD player. The previous owner may have had this retrofit done but then again maybe not.
Want to test your car? Come join us at SESF and do some Tail of the Dragon with us in April. I'll post some info in the Meets forum soon.
