im over on the other side now and watched it last nite here....all i can say is BULL to the winner, and i luv the 911, BUT, you cant compare the 911 to the M6, they're 2 different cars for different reasons and drive styles...i agree with Clarkson, you have to take the M6 overall!
BTW, to all the M5 lovers, Clarkson and all are still raving about it, they were choosing it over all 3 cars compared!

Kind'of a small SPOILER so don't read if u hate stuff like that...
Yup I left it going over night and just watched it. They tested on a mountain road and it was raining like hell so not a real point IMO. I'm surprised about the aston time compared to the M6. Something was seriously wrong there. I mean come on... 150kg weight diff. in favor of the Aston but 127hp in favor of the M6 and they put out the same time??? Either Aston's intensive Nurburgring testing has payed off or it's BS!
Ooh, in the end Clarkson said he would take the M6 just because of all that power

The roads on the Isle of Man are like those in North Wales where I grew up only without the speed limits. They are narrow, jinking lanes with an uneven surface and regular scatterings of "farming waste". The M6 was never going to get a chance to use all 500 horses, there especially on Corsa spec tyres. The 911 is smaller, lighter and has excellent traction. I spent the weekend before last slithering round Anglesey circuit (where Fifth Gear do their trackdays and close to the IoM) failing to get the mere 286bhp of my e36 M3 down on similar AO48s. Less powerful cars on normal road tyres were much more effective.

On a normal track on normal conditions the M6 would be the winner by far. Then the porsche and then the am v8.
Gimme that M6 and i'll even say no to both cars. I'd rather have the m6 then 2 cars that kinda act the same, put almost the same power....blah blah. IMHO the m6 was not the competitor for the amv8, it was in a much higher league.
