This is something I have been trying to follow since word first came out. All of us in the E63/64 (M or not) are trying to keep current on what is next as decisions have to be made to go V10 or wait, hold on till F12/13 or buy latest MY10 (not sure there will be a MY11). Makes my head swim as I pass 100K miles in my MY05.

no way is that thing replacing the mighty M6! the e63 has been more successful than they ever hoped, and the new 6er is well on its way to production

however, if you read last months Roundel, they quoted an unidentified M manager as saying that BMW will be offering a supercar in the next 3 years...so, im certain we'll be getting the M6, and perhaps some version of this thing, but this thing will be the big $$$ car, comparatively speaking!

Mike, generally I agree with your points but the article in Roundel I think refers to a true supercar way beyond an M6 caliber vehicle. I dont think we can infer those references having anything to do with an M6. I do hope they make one but I dont think it's what they were referring to.

I hope the next M6 doesn't look anything like that monstrosity. The next M6 needs to carry the M banner onward as proudly as the current one does.

sorry if i misspoke, but thats what I meant Kerry, - I think the supercar will be based on the vision concept design, while the M6 will stay around as well

I have to believe that BMW will just drop the F10 M5's engine into the next 6 Series to creat the new M6. I doubt BMW would let the M6 die.

But based on BMW's long-term resistance to building low volume supercars (which almost always lose tons of money); I am not holding my breath for the next BMW supercar.

This is good for the bigger picture.... Euro is going sleeper style. If BMW bring out a super car M1 (big smiles) then the 6er will follow the 7er and top out with an 660i.... Like the unofficial one someone made in the UK.
