I go into the garage today to head into work to put my bags in the trunk and hit my key fob to open the trunk and no problem, I hear the trunk unlatch and I opened it as usual.
After I drive into work this morning, I get out of my car and hit the key fob again to grab my bags and the trunk did not unlatch. I went inside the car to press the unlatch button and again no luck. I was freaking out because I thought I was screwed until I remembered the bmw emblem on the trunk pops out and there is a manual key lock to open the trunk. I had to use that to open the trunk.
I checked to see if something was blocking the trunk latch when I opened it but there was nothing in the way.

Any input???

Thanks fellas!

Looks like you locked the trunk from being open from the inside or the remote. Where the hidden cupholder is (middle console in the back) there is a place to put your key, try unlocking that, then trying to open your trunk via remote. If that doesnt work, maybe the latching device is shot.
