Hi All, I have a 2004 645 with Business nav and CD Changer. Now, from what I've read on the forum, provided that I have CD Changer and the single CD plays MP3 then I'm good to go with an adaptor upgrade.

Well I can play MP3 in the single slot, I can even play MP3 in the changer although I've burnt a disc with just one track on it, multi-track I haven't got to work (yet) in the changer.

Thing is I have bought a BMW Ipod adaptor and when I remove the changer and replace it with the adaptor I get only a BMW logo on either my Ipod or Iphone but the CD icon in the IDrive is greyed out so no Ipod!!!

Any Ideas?

Thanks.

Not to worry, it's part of the registration process, every noob MUST ask the iPod question. Look in the DIY section there's a few there for the 6er. BTW, no matter what adapter you get it has to be activated by the dealer - sorry :( :(

P.S. Don't forget to ask about the Sprint Booster and wheels offsets as well or you'll never become a full member. :D

Almost everything has been discussed before, do a quick search, you will find answers for sure.
