Anyone else getting this message? My last fill up had this message pop up and didn't pay much attention to it since it went away after a while. Now I filled up again and this message came out again. After some researching, it seems like a common problem but just wanted to check with you guys. Should I take my car in and fix it or it's not that big of an issue? I'm still covered under warranty but it's a hassle to drive to the dealership.

There are usually a few different things that can activate this message.

1. Low octane
2. bad o2 sensors
3. maf going bad.
4. gas cap faulty
5. gas cap left loose
6. you over fueled, caused spillage.
7. bad dmtl pump (leak diag pump)

I think thats about it. Are you noticing any driveability issues? Gas milage reduction? If no, depending on how you drive, give it a few days to a week to clear it up. It should just go away.

Thanks for the input. Can't be an octane issue unless Shell is cheating me of my gas. In terms of any differences while driving, can't say I feel anything different other than the annoying check engine light. I guess I'll try waiting it out like last time and hopefully it goes away.

Dont sweat it, its nothing biggy than. I've had problems with shell gas, since their octane only goes to 91. (atleast here) I usually fill up using 94 from chevron every 2-3rd tank.

I have been getting this control message intermittently also. It comes and goes every now and then.

Good to hear, was mostly likely a gas cap issue
