since being almost done with the retrofit for the paddles i gave HUD retrofit a thought since it was mentioned by someone on the thread.

This requires a little more thought and planning so i'm starting with planning out the parts that will be needed.

Here's the HUD trim piece that will go into the dash. Cutting into it won't be a big problem as long as it's positioned properly.

I think the point that's trying to be made is that you might lose less money if you simply switched cars...

Why Rudy?
Unit - a few euros on eBay
Dashboard: you could try to modify the factory one
Windshield: I had to replace it for other reason and I installed HUD glass, but your insurance can always help you.

But at this point? Nobody knows what to do.

+1. The one thing I miss about trading in the '06 GTO is the (relatively) cheap modding ability of the car; let's face it, the performance modifications for this car are too few and too expensive. At least there are some decent interior and functional upgrades available (iPod, bluetooth) for those of us who purchased an early model year.

If I still have this car after its warranty expires (and it's paid off), I'm thinking Quaife differential and twin turbo...
