That's a drag. Sorry. You can't claim the damage on the front bumper on this one. You always can buy the bumpers, but all the ins. co. will cover is the cost of the repairs to your rear bumper less the deductible. GL.

Bummer ... you're on your own for the front bumper - to do otherwise would = insurance fraud and you don't want to go there! Insurance claims for minor incidents are a pain and you may wind up paying more in surcharges that to have it repaired or replaced w/o filing a claim. Read your policy, the regs vary by state, and in some instances comprehensive claims may not affect your policy history. If they treat it as a "collision" it may cause a jump in premiums - afterall, you don't expect your insurance company to lose money on you

Might be a perfect opportunity (excuse) to get something updated/moded on your car - a prepainted OEM M might actually be cheaper than a repair to your damaged bumper!

the scratch on the bumper is from a curb(curb rash) from the previous owner. since i have to pay a $500 deductible i was thinking i could tell my agent to include that in the deductible.

mike i was planning on going to daniels collision in allentown since they are a certified BMW collision center but if you know someone that can do wonders from me ill def go with them esp if he is a friend of yours too. i pm'd you my e-mail address.

Shitty deal man, in most cases you cannot subsitute bumpers for different bumpers. IMO you have to pay $500 anyway, so look around ebay, craigslist for the bumper!
