So I decided to wash my car today and guess what surprise I found. The bottom trim decided to fall out and take a huge chunk from the front bumper with it. I tired my best to buff it out but still noticeable. :( Just checked realoem and to replace is 35 bucks for a piece of plastic. Woohoo! Ah well...just wish it didn't have to hit the bumper while it fell out. Anyone else got this problem??

Some clip looks broken...

I believe its suppose to be a clip on trim. Looking at the tabs, the tabs look fine but somehow the trim got loose.

happened to me not too long ago... drove over a bump and it popped out.

So i bought the part to replace and upon further inspection, the damn side support broke off too so there is nothing for the grid to clamp onto. I had to ghetto rig it and stick it on with 3m tape till i figure out how to fix it.

By the looks of it, it does not look like it fell out and caused the scrape on your bumper, but instead it looks as if you may have ran over some thing and it knocked your grill trim off. You can see that the grill trim next to it is pushed in and is not aligned with the bumper correctly. This may be the reason why your supporting bracket is broken too.

+1 looks like you hit something or something hit you, maybe a rock or something? I've seen that happen before, not too long ago my mom was driving behind a dumptruck and when she got home she noticed her car was overheating, she took it to the mechanic and sure enough a hole the size of a quarter in her radiator. You're lucky it was just the grille.

Yeah more and more I look at it, it looks like someone hit me or something flew at me on the freeway. It just sucks there is no way to mount the grid without the supporting bracket. Also the supporting bracket isnt a part where i can replace. It is just part of the front bumper itself.

Happened to me last month, $55.00 at the dealer
