Well my friends, i?m just asking here, because i now that we have in this forum, some people keep themselves well informed., if you nows what i'm asking in the topic title??
My father, will buy a BMW diesel, and till now he always "see" a 5 series, but recently, he fall in love with the 6 series, but he do "some" kms in the year, so he need a diesel car. Help him, should he wait??

as far as I know BMW, do not think so NEVER!!!
why? the e63 is a different segment, more of hot sport car then e60, not really for family, so more for SHOW-do not take wrong I luv e63, but - consumption will be never an issue for the 6er, because you buy that to show you can have a unique car for whatever you need and not more than 1-2 ppl.

I think your father has to look for a 5er. Alas, I think BMW wouldn't drop a diesel in a 6er, as I think they don't consider diesel a sporty-like engine.

I think there will be a diesel 6 one day - reasonably soon.
Look at the recent success of the diesel in the 3 series coupe and cabriolet.
It will come, if only as an answer to company car taxation in the UK - just a matter of time.
