Just got an 04 645ci. So far so good but would need a little help.

1. Does anyone know how to reset the Oil Life indicatore in the iDrive. I just changed the oil but it states 900km left until change needed.

2. I also have a cabin filter warning and brake fuild replacement due warning. How do we reset these to Zero so they read OK.

Thanks in advance.

you should have the dealer to reset for you!

Pretty sure they would but I really don't feel like seeing the dealer everytime I descide to change my oil. I know I know most of you don't believe in changing your own oil but I enjoy getting my hands dirty and knowing my cars. Plus I don't have my own car lift just for show, although it helps fit more cars in the garage. Just wondering if there is anyway just to restet these indicators ourself.

or you can call the dealer and ask them how to reset it.

If you are covered under the BMW Maintenance agreement you should not reset the iDrive points that report condition based service.

First I tried and hold the trip reset button on the cluster while you turn the key to pos2 without starting the engine. I did this several times and did nothing for me except some funny codes. The I reset the time and date on the Idrive just go into the time date menu and pretend to change the time to now and then repeat step on (Trip Button) and that did the trick for me while in the service part of the I drive. See if that Works.
