Took my '04 into the dealer to put on the winter wheels/A/S tires and pulled the trigger to have the bluetooth added to the car.

Yeah, I've been calling people just to use it. :D It cost around $270 for the programming.

I do have the MP3 and iPod retrofit. I haven't listened to standard radio since.

So it all it cost you was $270? What all did they install? ie. cradle+ program?

Like Tbal wrote, the dealer just programmed the iDrive to accommodate the bluetooth. So, the car always had the ability; it just wasn't enabled through the iDrive.
