Hey Roger,

Anyway to light it up with the Eyebrow for the E60 and the rear tail rods? I can run the wire easily to the rear. I just dont know how to connect. And I guess we would have to tape into the LCM and use another component. (I forgot the name of the chip to make sure the flow of electric does not go in the wrong direction / flow).

shouldn't be too hard to tap into the eyebrows as well or the tail lights for that matter... the "chip" you're talking about is a diode:)

if you have the OEM AE's the dimming function works the same.. AE's dim in and then back out with the interior lighting.

I believe the rear lights can also be incorporated in this mod, right ? This is how the BMW 1er comes stock.

First posted a while back ago but left unfinished.

Buy 2 BUSHING CONTACT 0,2- 0,5MM? 61130005197 (N.B. these contacts come with a foot of black wire attached to each of of them)

1. Remove plastic trim pieces from driver and passenger footwells.
2. Remove glovebox.
3. Remove fuse panel from behind glovebox.
4. Remove the 54 pin plug X13252 from the light module behind the fuse panel.
5. Open up the 54 pin plug X13252 and insert two 61130005197 into positions 53 (right) and 54 (left). You will need to lift a side catch flap in order for the connector to go completely and snap into the plug.

This will give you your 12V outputs. Now connect up two diodes 1N4007 to these two wires so side opposite to the Silver line of the diode is connected to the wires coming out of the LCM. This will now protect your LCM from the voltage going back from the angel eyes in normal use.

Now you need to connect these diodes to the wires that feed the angel eyes.

What does the wire harness that you are going to provide do? Where does it fit in this procedure? thanks :)

Umm going to the fuse panel is a little excessive I believe:) my solution is much simpler and easier to install than that:)

I dunno man, Schully and nigxdoof and Eugene (when not melting resistors) and Brabus put a lot of time and effort into their mods - they deserve compensation from those wanting them to do the same or allowing other users to do their solutions. Want it free? figure it out

:) +1... since we use our rides for testing as well there's quite a bit that could go wrong so there's gotta be a little compensation there for the risk that is being taken:)
