Cool mod. So does that mean when the interior lights fade out, the ae's will fade out too? Or maybe the ae stays on like in drls? Either way awesome work!

I'll gladly volunteer my 5er for the mod guinea pig if you want good DIY pics. Send me the harness and any agreement you need and we'll get it done. You might want to consider another for LCI cars - I have preLCI and there are a lot of members that have the LCI also. I just think this mod would be VERY cool. I will do the mod for you at the same time as I do the AE upgrade - that way I can take pics for you both ways - with stock AE and then after with upgraded AE, that way your customers will get the idea of both. Let me know.

good stuff roger!!! I was going to release a wiring harness for the 5 but I ended up going to LCI headlight retrofit which I will also wire to the interior lights with a wiring harness so it turns on when the lights are on. :D

John - you guys are both amazing, the things you guys come up with for lighting are incredible!!! I can do just about anything to a car, but coming up with these subtle mods and fiddling with the elecetrics - not so much. (BTW I am still dying to see the wiring harness to retrofit the LCI headlights)

I first saw this mod on my hired 1 series in Germany, and thought it would be sooo cool to have it on the 6er !

I was telling Tbal about this idea like a year ago ! do you remember this video bro ?...
