I was fooling around on the BMW web site and decided to build a 6 series car, what suprised me was that the cat did not offer ventilated seats. How can a car at this price point not be available with this feature, the E60 is?

Does anyone know if this is one of those special non listed options?

Thanks

Verts = potential rain...............the seats are almost rubberlike

What does that mean? I have ventilated seats on my my X5 and will not get another car without them, of course I live in Florida and spend a lot of time in my car.

i think he means for the convertible vented seats would (if its raining) let water drip into them? but yea im surprised too that they dont have vented seats for the 6er

Thats is weird.

But in my opinion, the 6-series is so overpriced its not even funny.

I honestly don't understand how someone could buy one over a M3 coupe or M3 vert. The new M3 is 10x more car, for $10k and $20k less. Not to mention if you want a vert, the M3 has the retractable hard-top.

M6 doesn't offer active seats neither like M5 does

Wow, another insightful and well reasoned epiphany meant to say it all :)

You got it  lol

I will delete the post if I offended any 6series owners, just my personal opinion.

hmmm, dont understand where 10X comes from???

its smaller inside and out, not as wide or low, and shares parts with the 318s of the world.....

As for the 6er, exclusivity in design and overall package = premium; they sell only a few thousand 6ers per year vs several thousands 3ers per month

the new M3 is a step down from the 6 series, no matter how you look at it (and i am considering it as a cheaper downgrade next year if BMW does not upgrade the e63 with all the new toys by the Spring)

its built on a platform that is the most common in the BMW lineup, it has no differentiation in terms of its interior layout, it has very minimal exterior differences that only BMW enthusiasts can recognize

it is an overweight and underpowered car for its class....and as for the hardtop cab, well that adds even more weight to a porkbarrel of an M3

and if you spec the car with all the options, its less than 10K difference from a 6er

so today the new M3 = 414hp and 295 ft/lb

and the new TT V8 = 407hp and 495 ft/lb (BEFORE any software upgrades+)

I'll take the e63 bodystyle and exclusivity with premium price any day when these are the performance options...

now if BMW was to have come out with the new M3 weighing in at perhaps 3200-3400lbs WITH the new DCT and then maybe it would be a clear winner, but when the E92 M3 weights nearly as much as the e63, and only has the stats listed above, it is not even a clear choice straight up, let alone 10X any 6 series....jmho...
