Does anyone know if someone manufactures 19" snow tires? my stock flower-power wheels have the runflat all seasons on there but I don't think it'll be able to keep up with the snow. anyone have any ideas?

Anyone have experience with Snow vs. all season tires? My old man says there wouldn't be much difference.
if you get snow and are going to drive in winter conditions, you should invest in some winter tires....drop down to 18"s and you can find lots of nice packages...i have the style 184M with 245/45 VR performance winter tires; they drive on snow, ice, and slush with ease, and help with the black ice traction.... the stock tires will leave you on the side of the road in any type of bad weather if not worse, plus, this gives you an excuse to get another set of rims

I am running the Blizzak LM-22's on my stock, M5 19" 166 wheels and they work AMAZING in the snow. If the LM-22's are not in the specs you need for width and profile, try the LM-25's from Blizzak too. Same tires, both of which come in 19's, but have different widths and profiles.
I'm running 255/40/19 at all 4 corners, but I believe that's too wide for you in a non-M car. The LM-25's come in a 245/40/19 though. That WILL work on your car.

I'm running the Bridgestone Potenza Pole Position all season tires and I highly recommend them. Of course, I went down to 18s for my winter set. On my previous car, '06 GTO, I had snows on it and essentially wore through them (the rears) in a season. Big waste of money! The tread is too soft and if you have any power to the rear wheels (which we do), you'll need to drive gingerly to keep the tread. Go with all seasons; they're less expensive, last longer and are just as good in the snow.

I had all season run flats on my 2007 530xi and they slipped quite a bit and that was with the AWD system. Winter tires make a world of difference. If you want to play it safe, go with full winters and a new set of wheels. That's what I do. Sure, you can't do burnouts and trash them like you do with your summer wheels and tires, but that's fine. I still enjoy driving my M every day with my winters.

In Colorado, even though we don't get a tremendous amount of snow, there's enough to justify two sets; one accident because you're not running all seasons or snows is going to cost you a lot more than a second set of wheels/tires.
