My Ride: 2011, X6 Hybrid . Alpine White , every option. 20" Conti' NON runflats,OEM trunk spoiler , LUX V3 AE's , HP Thunder Fogs , custom front bumper reflector delete........
For the last few months I have promised my wife a new car since I more or less took the 550 from her one day after we bought it , I had her convinced that a 335 or the 135 would be ideal.....well on Friday we went to the dealer to look at a few cars and she fell in love with a 650 Cab in the showroom, the sales manager knew the situation and really played upon the need to make up for the "stolen" 5.....It is a 2007, fully loaded, they were quite motivated on the pricing front and we got 1.5% financing so it didn't sting as much as I anticipated.... Long story short Mrs westcoast is picking up her new 650i Cab in Stratus Grey and Black extended leather tomorrow....HMMMM a new car to steal !! I like 650s but I've never been a huge fan so she's likely safe this time .....

Does this mean I have to buy my wife an M6?

We picked up the new car today and I must say that after a few short drives I am very impressed , it has a distinctively different feel than a 550 MSport. The steering is definitely heavier despite Active Steering on both. The sound is probably the sweetest V8 note I have ever heard ( ex Super cars ). There is a very distinct firmness which , while different to the 550 Msport , is no less precise . The accelleration is virtually the same but at 13 km I could hardly push it . After the last drive I jumped into my car to see the difference.... several but nothing overbearing ... I have never been a lover of the 650 but I really must say that I have been pleasantly surprised. I have always been a big fan of the MB SL 500.... still think it is a better looing car but.......................anyway more feedback as it gets broken in. The only negative would be a slightly louder road noise due to the soft top ! The Stratus Gray is probably one of the nicest BMW colors of all ..........wow does it evoke emotion.... it changes in all lights !! very cool !!

Wow, that's great news, Westcoast550, and please, please, please do not try to contact my wife and tell her all your goodness. Looking forward to seeing some pix, sounds awesome. I'm sure you did well deal-wise as the local shop has one or two '07 650s I'm sure they would like to move.
BTW, my 535xi MSport is in the dealer's back lot, as of this morning. I've seen it - SUPER in the AW w the MSport!! I'm so glad I switched at last moment to the MSport. Delivery set for 1PM Thursday.
