Hey guys, whats the 1/4 time on a 645ci coupe stock with an auto tranny? Just curious. Deciding between the 645ci and the SRT8 Jeep Grand Cherokee. They run 13.4 stock....in a jeep...and 12.5's with about 1000 in mods.......

1. You dont know what you want because 6 series and a jeep are 2 totally different things. Yes the 6 will run mid to high 13s, while the str8 runs lower #s.
2. if you want impressive 1/4 #s get a z06
3. finally knowing what you want, and what you want to do with it is key. Comparing a refind luxery coupe to a rugged jeep... well i wont go there....

oh believe me, i have no clue what i want. I love the luxury of the BMW, but it's 10-15k more than the jeep for an older (2-3 years) car which youll have to buy a warranty for, so another 3 grand. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the 6-series, but i've always been into fast cars, and a sleeper running mid twelves might be fun too. I was just curious, thats all.

You can see some of my times here : http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=...mp;#entry706796

But recognize I just did this just to know what my car could do and in case I ever made any mods. The 6er is not a drag race machine. Even the M6 is not good drag race machine, unless you really work it over for just that purpose. Where the 6 series shines is as a Grand Tourer GT. Let me run from 80-150 against that Jeep.

There are more samples of some of my data (and others) in some threads started by "znod". I have not time to search for them now. But several of us put up a lot of data in those threads for 545, 645 and maybe some updates on 550.

+1

What are your intentions, racing 1/4 miles?? If so there are a lot more faster cars than a 645, but if you just want a nice and fast GT get a sixer!

Srt8, with all 4 wheeels to the ground you won't have any problem smoking anybody. Whether it's n the rain or dry, not to mention the snow. SRT8
