My dealer held a big event tonight where they unveiled/previewed the new 5GT and I have to say that it's quite a nice car. As I've said in some earlier threads, I never found it as ugly as others have and in the flesh, it's even nicer looking.

I'm still leaning toward the F10 when my lease comes up this summer but I will say that the 5GT isn't completely off the list...

Did you find outward visibility somewhat limited - especially to the rear and quarter panels? I felt there were several blind spots that made cameras a must have option ... compared to my e60 that affords very good visibility all around.

I'm not sure these newer styling exercises make cars that are actually better to drive. Though nice to look at, and it's great to be seen in them, but better to be able to see out of your own car!

Not sure is it same in the US but in HK, they will have two "Twinpower turbo" engines (Single turbo) available:

535iGT

306bhp
400Nm Torque
6.3sec 0-100km
2015kg Weight

550iGT

407bhp
600Nm Torque
5.5sec 0-100km
2135kg Weight

Both have 8 speed gearbox as standard

For the UK there is a choice of 3 engines, a 245hp 530d,a 306hp 535i and a 407hp 550i.All have the new 8-speed automatic as standard.

I didn't see much in the way of specs but to be honest, I didn't look very hard either. I think they did have something listing specs in front of the car but I never paid attention to it. The car on display was a 550iGT with an 8 speed automatic. They had a couple BMW guys there to answer any questions but I never thought of asking about engines...
