Looks like they did a great job with the ambient lighting. I recall test driving the Caddy CTS about a year ago and it had nice ambient lighting.

Unbelieveably, I'm getting used to it. With the 400hp V8 and adaptive suspension, it should be a nice drive. I wonder what the price point is. It does give a strong clue to the next 5 sedan.
One thing I don't get is the lack of utility for a car designed with utility in mind. The sloped roof combined with the short load floor (even with seats down) don't allow much larger objects than a standard sedan. The 535i touring would be better.
Its odd how fast backs and hatch backs come and go. IIRC, there were a few in the late 40s. Then the muscle cars in the 60s (think '66 Dodge Charger, Mustang, Marlin, etc), then the Vega & AMC Eagle from the '70s, then the Dodge Lancer & Mercury Merkur from the '80s, the Aztec from the '90s, and now the 5GT....... Its always a great idea but just doesn't sell beyond a year or two after the newness goes away.
