Oh, it’ll turn off at stop lights to save gas? That’s cute. I wonder how much gas it’ll save when that twin-turbo 4.4 liter V8 claws its way to the 7,000rpm redline? Any gas you do save is certain to be obliterated in frightening fashion with any hint of spirited pedal work. Then again, maybe I’m just misunderstanding what they mean by efficient. In a way, it’s true. The M5 “efficiently” turns gasoline into a maelstrom of smoke and power and “dynamically” accelerates from 0 – 60 in the amount of time it take you to blink.
