As a guy, I love summer because it means it’s time for women to break out their shorts and bikinis. Apparently, things work that way in the car development world, too.
Like a frightened teenaged boy on prom night, BMW has this 5 Series Touring wrapped up pretty tightly; however, these spy shots aren’t short on the goods.
A busy year for BMW means a busy year for the car spies. Today they have been particularly busy as shots for the M variants of both the X5 and X6 have ended up in my inbox.
In this “metric ton” of spy photos you can see that the new 2 Series convertible (set to be unveiled before the end of summer) has almost completely shed its camouflage.
If you’ve looked at the 320-horsepower BMW M235i Coupe and made this sound: Mmmmmm, you’re not alone. The Ultimate Driving Machine company has as well, but it came out much shorter: M.
BMW must be allergic to vinyl because the psychedelic vinyl wrapping in these spy shots does little to hide what’s supposed to be a disguised developmental vehicle. In fact, from certain angles, the test mule tells you you’re looking at a “Hybrid Test Vehicle” – the plug-in hybrid version of the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer, to be exact.
