BMW E36 Rocket Is a Chubby Bunny We Can Ride With
Like people needed any more reason to think about getting an older BMW.
As the marque continues to garner more and more attention as rare future classics, the guys at G-Reddy whipped up a special little something; you might know the style … the Rocket Bunny? The concept was first released at last year’s SEMA, and now that the kits have started delivery, we’re starting to see some of the initial products.
This 318is E36 belongs to Norihito Watanabe. He took the car to TRA Kyoto HQ in south Japan to have his car scanned and fitted for the revered Pandem Aero wide-body kit. To complete the look, he put the car on ST Suspension XTA adjustable coilovers and Enkei 6666 gold mesh wheels.
“This car is western Japan’s Euro Cup N1 class champion,” Watanabe told Driving Line. “I used to race one, and its steering, feeling and handing is very good. It might be old but the driving is very pure and fun, almost like a German Toyota 86.”
The full wide kit will cost you $3,500, which really isn’t too bad.
