Radwood 2: The Ultimate ’80s & ’90s Car Show
The sequel to the raddest ’80s and ’90s car show is creeping up. Get your multi-colored track suit on, hop inside your E34/E39, and come through!
If you haven’t heard of Radwood, then you must have been living under a rock, or were born the year 2000. Radwood is a car show that celebrates the automobiles of the 1980s and 1990s. To be specific, the cars allowed to attend must be built between Jan. 1, 1980 and Dec. 31, 1999, though a few exceptions might be made. For example, if you have an 2001 E39, you’re fine since technically that generation started in 1995. If you have another other rad cars in your garage that fits the criteria, feel free to bring it over!
What started out as an idea for a cool ’80s and ’90s car meet was founded by the hosts of three podcasts: Cammed & Tubbed, Clutchkick, and Driving While Awesome. The totally awesome idea then came to fruition last June at Brisbane Marina near San Francisco. A large variety of car enthusiasts brought out all sorts of sweet rides. From air-cooled 911s, 944s, C4 Corvettes, Dodge Vipers, to Honda Preludes and Toyota Cressidas. To top it off, there was even a DeLorean DMC-12 and Marty McFly spec Toyota pickup.
Turning the Radness Up To 11!
To say that Radwood was a success would be an understatement. As a matter of fact, the event received so much positive reception that the organizers decided to fast track Radwood 2 and it’s coming in a few weeks. As awesome as the first event was, Radwood 2 is going to be bigger, better, and more fun. Expect more cars, vendors, and of course people to enjoy the culture of ’80s and ’90s. Don’t forget that period attire is highly recommended. So get out your MC Hammer pants, rock that mullet, and bust out those fanny packs!
