Photo of the Week: F10 M5 Wheels on an E61 M5

While many try to keep their previous-gen cars up to date by installing current-generation wheels, few can pull it off. For example, every now and then I see people who drive B7 Audi A4s rolling on B8 S4 rims. I can’t say the cars look bad; they just look a little off. Car companies spend a lot of time matching their wheel designs to their body designs. Because of this, current-gen wheels on older cars looks like plastic surgery on the Real Housewives of Miami.

One example where current-gen wheels look good on an older car is the E61 M5 you see above. Shod in the F10 M5’s “Style 343M” wheels, only die-hard BMW M5 info freaks would know your rims are gen-incorrect. As good as these wheels look, we just had to show them off in this week’s edition of “Photo of the Week”.
