BMW M4 and Toyota Tacoma Play Tug-o-War
There’s an old saying that a good set of winter tires beats a car’s AWD system 98% of the time. You’ve heard that saying before, right?
That old adage, however, goes completely out the door when doing something less than conventional with your car, such as playing tug-o-war with a pickup truck.
The video below has a couple of key elements that need priming. First off, the “do not try this at home unless you want to break your brand new M4” primer. I don’t care what your buddy says, tug-of-war is definitely not covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
Second, it’s a closer battle than you would think it might be. Especially when coming up against one of the tougher trucks in the world, the Toyota Tacoma.
In the end, it goes the way you think it should, but something about this video seems a bit fishy. Either that Toyota driver doesn’t know how to drive, or something is wrong with the truck. There is no way in hell that a RWD M4 should have done that well against the Tacoma. Sure it has a lot of torque from that inline-six cylinder turbocharged engine, but definitely not enough traction in the snow to pull this off.
What do you guys think? Is this video legit?
