I may not eat today because my stomach is full of butterflies. Why is my stomach full of lepidopterans? BMW just announced the availability of the Track Handling Package for the 2015 228i Coupe. If you’re in the market for a 2-Coupe with a four banger, I’ve got one reason why you should check the box for the Track Handling Package … it’s a track handling package.

OK, if you’re still unconvinced, here’s what you get with the upgrade:

  • 10mm lower M Adaptive Suspension
  • Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires
  • 18-inch wheels
  • Variable Sport Steering
  • M Sport Brakes

BMW has yet to announce pricing for the option package, but I figure if the Dynamic Handling Package on other BMWs is $1,000 and M Sport brakes are a $650 standalone option, then this Track Handling package should be in the $1,650 ballpark.

With the light weight of the 2 Series in its four-cylinder configuration, an upgraded suspension sounds like a lot of fun, and who besides the Grinch doesn’t want more fun?
