Competition Package coming to M5 and M6

BMW M6 Gran Coupe
A Car and Driver report has confirmed a bmw blog rumor (which first appeared on m5board.com) that BMW will be offering a Competition Package on the face-lifted 2014 M5 as well as the entire M6 range. The M5 and M6 will continue to be offered with the 560-hp, 4.4-liter twin turbo V8; however, the optional Comp Pack will raise output by 15-hp.

But wait, there’s more… both models will also receive different wheels, blacked-out exhaust tips, distinct suspension tuning and a quicker steering ratio to make the handling sportier and more lively. Top speed will stay limited to 190mph but zero-60 times should drop by about 0.1 seconds. Pricing has not been announced as the Competition Pack, technically, hasn’t either.
