BMW E30 Gets Rubbed the Wrong Way at the Nurburgring
The Nurburgring, at its core, is truly the Green Hell. It’s comprised of over 170 corners, and it takes a normal driver around 10 minutes to get around the whole thing. It’s also one of the most dangerous tracks on the face of the earth, considering how many crashes happen there.
No matter how many times you go around the infamous track, you’re sure to run into trouble. There are no less than a few thousand-crash videos that take place at the Nurburgring, which includes everyone from complete amateurs to professional racecar drivers that have years of experience. And the video below is another prime example.
As you can see, the trouble stems from getting the speed wrong for a corner. And that’s how quickly you can ruin someone else’s track day. The E30 BMW is making its way around one of the corners, when out of nowhere, a newer Audi TT comes into view. Rather than slowing down for the turn, the TT takes it entirely too fast and smashes into the E30.
The E30 BMW is definitely doing the right thing by staying on the outside of the turn. The Audi however, just gets everything wrong. People never seem to understand that the Nurburgring is dangerous, and not for beginners. It’s the car world’s triple black diamond run. Not for the faint of heart and weak wristed. Fortunately, it doesn’t look like too much damage was done, this time.
