BMW 2 Series Prototype Stuffed on Autobahn

Two days ago, while conducting a test drive on the autobahn, the driver of a 2 Series prototype lost control and ended up destroying the test vehicle. The photos show clear weather conditions so we can only speculate as to the cause however, the 2 Series made contact with the wall, slid for about 150 feet before crossing the traffic lanes and coming to rest in the passing lane about 500 ft away from the initial contact point.

Four cars in oncoming traffic were also damaged due to flying debris and while the test driver sustained minor injuries, no one else was hurt. The autobahn was closed following the wreck, in both directions and according to the report, the car was a total loss.
