Avante Design Introduces Widebody Kits for BMW M4

Avante Design recently unveiled a widebody kit for the latest BMW M4 sedan. The company’s package offers a more menacing stance.

When BMW first introduced its M3 and M4 sports sedans, the design of the two offerings had a polarizing effect on the global automotive industry. The company’s latest design language has a love or hate vibe. The big kidney grilles attracted a lot of criticism, but as it turns out, they also created a vacuum in the market for aftermarket outfits and design studios.

Avante Design recently unveiled a widebody kit for the latest BMW M4 sedan. The company’s package bestows the two-door sports car with a more menacing stance. The aftermarket tuner also paid special attention to the controversial grille, and the new front bumper now sports a pair of kidney grilles which are more modestly proportioned.

Unfortunately, at this point, Avante Design’s widebody kit only exists in form of digital renderings, but the company claims that its product will soon go on sale. The aggressive widebody kit for BMW M4 will be produced in limited numbers. The tuning outfit will offer three stages of its upcoming package, and if the customer opts to install the brawniest version, it will widen the car by 7 inches, as compared to the stock model.

Avante Design’s product is not just a style accessory, and the company claims that its new body kit will also aid the aerodynamics of the sports sedan. The design of the front-end bears a striking resemblance to the BMW M8 coupe, which means it is not as scandalous as the standard car and might help attract customers who were put off by the M4’s awkward styling.

This does not mean that Avante Design’s M4 lacks the theatricality we’ve come to associate with M cars. The company’s body kit also includes a restyled hood that flaunts a power bulge, which further helps highlight the car’s sporty credentials.

The upgrade also includes prominent side air vents that adorn the front fenders, which complement the enlarged air intakes that are found on the front and rear bumpers. The rear end is dominated by a fixed-wing, which is probably a BMW M Performance product for the latest M4 sports sedan. A quad-tip center exhaust sits underneath the fixed rear wing and ties this whole ensemble together.
