7 Series Teaches World How to do Burnouts

The BMW M3 and M5 have a long history of being tools for the petrol-veined among us. Their big powerful engines make for great burnouts, the taut handling makes them great track-day companions, and the subtle looks help keep you under the radar of the boys in blue who may want to fine you for having fun.

But you don’t have to have an M badge to have fun with a BMW. You don’t need a Z, 3, or 5 either. In fact, even if you have the biggest and most luxurious of the BMW lineup, the 7 Series, you can still act like a buffoon till your heart’s content.

We recently found the Car Throttle video below, which is all about making “clouds” with the rear tires of various machines. The traditional machines are all here, like modified trucks, Mustangs, and Camaros, but right in the middle of the video, around the 1:20 point, one dedicated 7 Series owner shows the world how it is really done. We get a full 15-seconds of slightly sideways actions that is fully smokey. The whole thing almost looks like the world’s most epic drift being played in slow motion.

So remember, even if you have a car that was built and designed for the older, stodgier crowd, that doesn’t mean you can’t still have fun.
