2013 BMW 328i Under Investigation for Braking Problems

If you drive a 2013-model-year BMW 328i, you might want to take it easy with your stereotypical aggressive driving. Four consumer complaints about reduced braking performance in the 328i have been reported to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

Reuters reports the NHTSA investigations began “after the complaints alleged difficulty in braking the car and increased stopping distance”. Three of the four complaints identify the vacuum pump as the component affecting braking ease and stopping distances.

If these NTHSA investigations lead to a recall, about 90,000 cars could be affected.

No accidents, injuries, deaths, dismemberments, or outright catastrophes have been reported in this investigation.
