Have you ever wondered how a BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe would look? Neither have we, but now that we’re looking at it, it is interesting to see a possible design direction for the four-door version of the imminent BMW 2 Series.

Consider the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe your rear-wheel-drive alternative to the Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class and the Audi A3. While reports indicate a M235i, M235i xDrive, and an M2 are in the pipeline, it is still unknown whether these variants will be offered with four doors, a la Gran Coupe style.

We may see the first BMW 2 Series variant debut before the end of this year. Sales will begin in 2014, but you’ll have to wait until 2015 for the 2 Series Gran Coupe to hit dealerships.
